Vegan Laundry Detergent

I’ve used the same laundry detergent for years and wasn’t looking forward to searching for a new one. So many options, opinions, ingredients and fragrances. Throw in that I have sensitive skin and now, thanks to a tick, I react to products most people can use - shopping just got harder. I just wanted something I could safely use and trust to clean our clothes. It should be easy, right?

There I was a few weeks ago, braving the detergent isle in Target, praying all the smells wouldn’t cause a reaction. I had been scanning products and researching ingredients for a while (a looooong while) when a man approached me. He asked if I had ever tried Puracy. To which, I quickly replied no. He went on to explain that he and his wife had tried so many vegan products and been disappointed but they were very satisfied with Puracy. That was the info I needed to help me make a decision. So, I bought it. I was a little skeptical, though. You use 1 pump for small loads and 2 for large. How could that clean? Well, it does. It got out grass stains on jeans and smelly little boy stink in socks. And I don’t react to it. Yay!

No fragrance for me, so I buy the Free & Clear. Target carries it online and in store and of course you can find it on Amazon and Walmart.com. So far, when I’ve needed to purchase it, Target has the best price at $14.99.

Happy washing!
