My grandma was the best at ironing clothes. People would bring their clothes to her and she would spend the morning ironing. Her ability to iron so perfectly amazed me, mostly because she was legally blind. She ironed by feel. I asked her one day why she liked to iron and she replied, “because most people don’t like to iron and I can help them out.” She went on to explain that it was also a sense of accomplish for a blind woman to iron. She was spunky like that.
